Serve and volley specialist, Ashley Loft started playing tennis and competing at a very young age along with her sister at the California Tennis Academy (CTA) in Leysin. Ranked among the top women in Switzerland at 18, she was granted a scholarship in the US and played her first 2 years of University Tennis in the US at the prestigious Rollins College in Florida, partnering with sister Lisa at No. 1 doubles. She finished her last two years of college on scholarship at Southern New Hampshire University, where she was undefeated, playing No. 1 singles and doubles, and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality in 2016.
Friendly and outgoing, Ashley was also very young when she began teaching tennis at the CTA as a 15-year-old. She’s passionate about coaching, and absolutely loves the world of tennis. Over the past two years, she has been very successful in making tennis fun and exciting for her own junior and adult students in Bern, Switzerland.

She established her tennis roots and passion for coaching in the capital city of Switzerland; Bern back in the Spring of 2019. Despite Corona, she was able to run a tennis program for the clients of the International School of Bern. She ran and still runs summer camps, cardio tennis, and private and group lessons for all ages & levels. Don't miss out on her "Sunday Funday" doubles tournaments she runs on the last Sunday of every month.

Die Aufschlag- und Volley-Spezialistin Ashley Loft begann schon in jungen Jahren zusammen mit ihrer Schwester an der California Tennis Academy (CTA) in Leysin mit dem Tennisspielen und Wettkämpfen. Mit 18 Jahren gehörte sie zu den besten Spielerinnen der Schweiz und erhielt ein Stipendium in den USA. Sie spielte ihre ersten zwei Jahre Universitätstennis in den USA am renommierten Rollins College in Florida, wo sie zusammen mit ihrer Schwester Lisa das Doppel Nr. 1 bildete. Sie beendete ihre letzten beiden College-Jahre mit einem Stipendium an der Southern New Hampshire University, wo sie als Nummer 1 im Einzel und im Doppel ungeschlagen blieb und 2016 ihren Bachelor-Abschluss in Gastgewerbe machte.
Die freundliche und aufgeschlossene Ashley war noch sehr jung, als sie als 15-Jährige mit dem Tennisunterricht am CTA begann. Sie ist leidenschaftliche Trainerin und liebt die Welt des Tennissports über alles. In den letzten zwei Jahren ist es ihr gelungen, ihren eigenen jugendlichen und erwachsenen Schülern in Bern, Schweiz, Spaß am Tennis zu vermitteln.
"Ich kann gar nicht dankbar genug sein, dass ich schon in so jungen Jahren mit dem Tennis in Berührung gekommen bin. Dieser gelbe Ball hat mich so viel über das Leben gelehrt und mich durch die ganze Welt geführt - von der Schweiz und Europa über die USA bis nach Australien und Neuseeland! Ich habe so viele unglaubliche Menschen auf meinem Weg als Tennisspielerin und -trainerin kennengelernt, und dieser gelbe Ball rollt einfach immer weiter!"
Ihre Tenniswurzeln und ihre Leidenschaft für das Coaching hat sie im Frühjahr 2019 in der Schweizer Hauptstadt Bern gefunden. Trotz Corona war sie in der Lage, ein Tennisprogramm für die Kunden der International School of Bern zu leiten. Sie leitete und leitet immer noch Sommercamps, Cardio-Tennis und Privat- und Gruppenunterricht für alle Alters- und Leistungsstufen. Coach Edy
Edy Valentino has been playing tennis since he was 10 yrs. He played competitive tennis from a young age in the US & Switzerland, winning the Bern Championships back in 2007.
He is an incredible talented player with beautiful technique, he knows the game very well. He has coached all over Switzerland for many years & is excited to pass on his skills to the kids at a.L Tennis.
Coach Edy is a very passionate, experienced Coach and will bring Fun to this sport!

Lori Sumner has been teaching tennis for over 20 years. She has taught in Hawaii, South Carolina, North Carolina, Washington DC, and Guatemala City. She loves creating a court that doesn’t only help her students with form and strategy, but also gains a true love for the game of tennis. She is so grateful to be teaching here in Switzerland.

I've been playing tennis since 2007 and I've played in many tournaments and in strong leagues in Croatia, Germany, and Switzerland. In addition, I have been actively training with a coach for 12 years, where I also gained experience for teaching tennis to all levels and ages.
